End-of-school-year gift: everything we love to give the teacher

It's the big question at the end of May, every year without exception: what do we get the teacher?

We may tell ourselves we have time, but June arrives quickly. And ideas don't always come as fast. So we've put together what we really like to give — gifts that stand out, that show thought, and that don't end up in the same drawer as the 14 candles received in previous years.

What we know about teacher gifts

Every year, teachers receive dozens of gifts. And the truth — that everyone knows but never says — is that some stay, and some don't.

What stays? What is beautiful, useful, or both. What was chosen with real intention. And often, what is personalized — because an item that carries a mark from the child she accompanied for a year is unlike any other.

Don't forget the ATSEM

An important reminder: the ATSEM deserves as much attention as the teacher. She spends as much time with the children, often in the shadows — and a well-chosen gift for her too, matters.

Involving children in the preparation

Whatever gift is chosen, the detail that always makes a difference is the child's participation.
